Waltz in B Minor, Op. 69, No. 2 by Frédéric Chopin
- Complete piano solo score
- Digital orchestra tracks (GM) by Susan Ogilvy
- Performable on acoustic or digital piano
Composed in 1829, the Chopin Waltz in B Minor (Opus 69 No. 2) for solo piano is one of Chopin’s better known pieces. It encourages the intermediate level player to let the lingering melody in the right hand ‘sing’ over the even-tempered waltz in the left hand. Susan Ogilvy has transformed the original Chopin Waltz for solo piano into a “consemble,” a concerto-style piano solo with an expressive digital orchestral accompaniment that captures both the mostly pensive mood and Chopin’s haunting harmonic structure. This arrangement can be performed as a solo or as a chamber work with SuperScore providing the accompaniment. Both the solo and the orchestral tracks were recorded by the arranger. The consemble tracks are playable in SuperScore or on any keyboard that has General MIDI (GM) sounds.
