Valse mélancolique is an exquisite waltz by Russian composer, Vladimir Ivanovich Rebikov. Arguably this work shows Rebikov’s compositional skills at their finest.
This piece would be an excellent selection for inclusion in an early advanced piano exam. This flowing waltz features beautiful harmonies and requires the use of rubato.
