Mi Teresita (Little Waltz) by Carreño-Silva

Mi Teresita (Little Waltz) was a piece composed for solo piano by Teresa Carreño (Caracas, 1853 – New York, 1917). This arrangement for piano ensemble is a tribute to her inspiring life and work. It is written for six parts, structured in three pianos, four hands each. Parts can be performed in six different instruments, and can be doubled, forming a multiple piano setting. The level of difficulty ranges between intermediate, late intermediate, and early advanced. It is an ideal collaborative project for piano studios.

The style of the arrangement portrays Venezuelan rhythms that were typical during and after Carreño’s lifetime. The piece includes solo parts performed by the arranger Laura Silva in midi tracks.
