Solace (Habanera) by Scott Joplin

Scott Joplin’s Solace was published in 1909, designated as a Mexican Serenade. A lengthy work, it begins with several sections in the key of C—84 measures in all—which become a prelude to the famous concluding sections in the key of F—the sections featured in the movie, The Sting.

Dr. Lee Evans has provided a beautifully fingered edition of these concluding sections as well as a lovely MIDI performance.
