Modest Mussorgsky’s “Hopak” is a peasant-style folk dance for the late- intermediate pianist. This high-energy Russian dance leaps from the page with vibrant rhythmic motifs and percussive effects. Susan’s lively percussive MIDI orchestration enhances this rowdy, exuberant piano solo while providing a strong and boisterous framework. This arrangement can be performed as a solo or as a chamber work with SuperScore providing the accompaniment. Both the solo and the orchestral tracks were recorded by the arranger.
