This charming little Aire by Buttstedt is one of the remnants of a large body of works by the composer. It is an excellent piece for learning staccato against legato touches and playing with an expressive voice-like sound. Buttstedt was a contemporary of the great composers, J.S. Bach and Johann Pachelbel. Find included with the interactive SuperScore edition, interesting comments about the work, information about the composer as well as practice tips for learning and performing the work.
