Edvard Grieg is famous for writing many character pieces like “Puck.” This piece for the late-intermediate pianist is filled with the playfulness of Puck’s mischievous elf character, with its quick notes and dramatic dynamic changes. Therese Mathews has cleverly transformed the original Puck for solo piano into a “consemble,” a concerto-style piano solo with digital orchestral accompaniment that truly enhances this mischievous, playful piece. This arrangement can be performed as a solo or as a chamber work with SuperScore providing the accompaniment. Both the solo and the orchestral tracks were recorded by the arranger.
